Soon, Fauzia discovers that Abid is having an affair with a girl called Ruby, due to which, Fauzia and Abid have a major fight though they reunite but continue to fight every now and then. Fauzia wants to be a model as Abid had promised to allow her to, but after the marriage he insists her to sit at home and raise their child. Abid, also physically abuses Fauzia, who soon, devastated, leaves the village and travels to Karachi to be a model and make a career and provide for her initial family. Meanwhile, Abid, who has divorced Fauzia, marries Ruby and gives his child to his sister to take care for. After hearing of this news, Fauzia become depressed - and is, now, desperate to get a job and reclaim her child. Meanwhile, the company owner/boss, Gauhar dupes Fauzia and makes her do bad things. Fauzia leaves the company as soon as she realizes this and decides to go to a woman's hostel. The caretaker of the hostel is an evil woman and seeing Fauzia for how she was, she decides to send her to do bad things for gaining money. Fauzia runs from there and goes back to Gogi/Rehaan [((Khalid Malik))] and starts living with him. But for many months, she doesn't get work. So, although reluctantly but given the circumstances, she desperately returns to the company that she was initially in, by apologizing to the boss, Gauhar. Gradually, she starts refining herself and works for whatever she can, good or bad. After many episodes, the entry of Shehryar (Osman Khalid Butt) takes place and Fauzia and Shehryar start getting closer. Meanwhile, Fauzia's father, faces an accident which results in the cutting of one of his legs. So, Fauzia meets her family in the hospital after a very long time and pays off for all her father's hospital expenses by working however and whatever way she can. She even takes a house in the city (on rent) and shifts her family (excluding her elder brother and his wife) to the city for some days until her father gets a new leg fixed at a private hospital in the city. Meanwhile, she gets close to her family and also provides them with all the amenities which were not available in the village. She also lends money to her elder brother, just to pay - off his rent and other debts and to maintain a cordial relationship with him. Moreover, Shehryar gives a diamond ring to Fauzia and proposes to her in an indirect manner. Eventually, after a turn of events, things take a dark turn resulting in a tragic end for Kanwal. As she was in her room, her brother comes in. As the brother comes in, he brings Kanwal close to him and starts strangling her. As Kanwal is dying, a Montage is played on her childhood and early life. Later, it is morning. Munee (Kanwal little sister) comes to Kanwals room to deliver tea, as she finds Kanwal dead. Khaani then starts doing a double job.Meanwhile Hadi becomes more obsessed with khaani and starts sending her gifts. Mir Shah then plots to kill khaani to get her out of Hadi's life but khaani survives and gets only injured.Hadi threatens mir shah that if he ever tried to hurt khaani, Hadi will also kill himself. Khaani becomes curious to find out who has been sending her gifts all along and starts to develop feelings as Hadi writes her a love filled letter. The next day Hadi intentionally hurts himself so that he Can go to see khaani in the hospital ,when he is unconscious khaani sees the "k" tattoo on his arm and discovers that her secret admirer is none other than mir Hadi. Khaani after knowing this feels guilty of loving her brother’s murderer.On hadi’s childish act his parents decide to marry Hadi to khaani by any means for political purposes.
